- An information pack containing a “Boarding Pass” and everything else the recipient of this incredible gift will need to bring with them for their first flight.
- A day with the club where they will enjoy the joy of soaring through the skies in Kildare.
- A full safety briefing with an instructor covering such matters as the history of gliding in Ireland, how the aircraft works and how the airfield operates.
- A detailed walk around of the glider that they will fly.
- The chance to operate as one of the ground crew and assist with the club operations on the day.
- A flight to 2,000ft with one of our instructors who will take you through your first lesson as a club member. Flight time will be dependant on the weather.
- 3 months membership of Dublin Gliding Club. After your flight you will automatically get 3 months club membership so that you can fly any weekend of your choice at club rates of circa €40 per flight, including instruction as often as you want
As we’re a club we place our focus on membership, and it’s due to our commitment to our members’ ongoing training that we’re able to offer the prices we do. As we operate as a true club rather than as a for-profit flying school, our aim is to make our training as cost effective as possible for all of our members, including you. On the other hand, if you just want a single flight to experience the thrill of gliding that’s absolutely fine with us too!
